'Brad About You'

Nashville actor is the next Hilary Swank?

by Brad Schmitt

You might recall me telling you that exotic ex-Belmont student Jordan Bayne stars in an indie film, Under Hellgate Bridge, with two of the stars from HBO's hit series The Sopranos.

Jordan (at left), a Knoxville native, ended up at Belmont in the late '80s because she loved music. She studied sound engineering for a couple of semesters at the school, where she became pals with hubby/wife duo Fleming & John, with whom she's still friends.

Jordan even played bass and sang in a band called Iconeclast, which played at Exit/In a time or two.

"We did a couple of gigs and people really responded to us," she told me. "I think it was more about attitude than talent."

Now, Jordan's in L.A. looking for that big break.

And Vincent Pastore, one of The Sopranos stars, says Jordan deserves it.

"She's really a focused person," Vincent said. "She could be the next Hilary Swank."

You'll be able to check out Jordan's talents yourself in June when Under Hellgate Bridge opens the Nashville Independent Film Festival.
